Top Sites QuestionsBelow is a collection of questions that we get asked most often about the Top Sites program. If you have a question, please don't hesitate to contact us. Can I place the graphic somewhere other than my homepage?
Yes you can. Your rank is determined by how many unique visitors view the graphic on your site, so placing it more prominantly on your site (at the bottom of your home page for example) will result in a better reflection of your true popularity, but if you feel that there is somewhere better to place it on your site then please do so. Just please take a moment and let us know where you have placed the graphic so that we can find it in order to approve your entry.
Can I modify the HTML used to add the graphic to my site? You can, but you shouldn't. There is important information included in the HTML code that we supply you when you sign up that references your site specifically. It's this information that allows us to track your site's popularity and adjust your ranking in the directory. If you modify the HTML code, you will likely find that your site drops to the bottom of it's category because we will be unable to monitor popularity. I keep submitting yet my site is repeatedly denied. Why is this? We will usually try and include a reason why your site was denied in our email to you but the two primary reasons are that your site doesn't pertain to the real estate industry (and preferably serves the Canadian market) or because you failed to properly include the graphic on your site. I have built my own site because I'm selling privately. Do I qualify for the Top Sites program? No you don't, because we wish to promote sites that have an ongoing value to our visitors and you'll likely take your site down once you sell your property. If you are interested in using our services to promote your private sale listing, contact us today. |
